Grandma/Papa come for a visit

Our Cookie Monster!!
A portion of the cookies made.
Chase and Papa reading???

Eric got a great deal on some floor seats for the T-wolves game so he invited my dad to join his brothers and him for the VIP treatment at the game. So my parents made a trip down to see us. Chase entertained them by playing the WII. Yes-he beat his grandma bowling (but it was her first time playing the game). Than papa and Chase read a couple books and took a little nap. They also played hockey, basketball, and a little baseball in the house. We headed out for dinner at Granite City. Chase won't let anyone else hold him except papa and he even had to sit by him at dinner.

On Sunday the girls headed out to shop since I never get to do that anymore. We made the most of it hitting the mall and The General Store (cute gift shop in Minnetonka). We got back in time for the guys to head downtown for the game. I had this great ideal to make Monster cookies. My dear friend Kara makes them and they taste so darn good!! Little did I know how much of a project it would be. Once we figured out how much stuff we needed we could barely find a bowl big enough to fit all the ingredients. Yes this recipe is a monster!! I would not recommend doing it while trying to entertain a toddler. My mom ended up doing most of the work. But we finished them after about 3 hours worth of time and 212 cookies later.
